Law360 (March 13, 2020, 1:31 PM EDT) -- A proposed class of consumers is taking a pharmaceutical manufacturer and a defunct health food company to court, claiming the diet supplements they made and sold contained ingredients that caused gastrointestinal distress, coma and death.
The buyers, led by named plaintiffs Jeffrey Faris, Antonia Hampton, Raul Robles and Kathleen Cannon, told the Eastern District of New York that Naturmed Inc.’s “All Day Energy Greens” products promised to provide sustained, healthy energy, but failed to live up to the promise, instead containing off-label ingredients that are harmful to those who drink them.
