Veterans Day is a time to thank all those who have served or are serving in the U.S. military.
As a way of showing appreciation, many restaurants and businesses offer discounts and freebies for veterans and, in some cases, their families. It’s best to bring military ID and check with your favorite location to make sure they are participating.
Here are some of the best deals, freebies for veterans today:
Bonefish Grill offers 10% off for service members and veterans.
Buffalo Wild Wings is offering veterans a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries on Nov. 11.
Chicken Salad Chick is offering a free Chick Special and regular drink on Nov. 11.
Veterans can get a free meal on Nov. 11 from a special menu.
Cici’s Pizza is offering a free adult buffet for veterans and active-duty military on Nov. 11. You will need valid active military ID and coupon.
Cracker Barrel is offering all veterans a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.
Denny’s is offering a free Build Your Own Grand Slam to military personnel and veterans.
Dunkin is offering a free donut to all veterans and active duty military on Nov. 11.
All veterans and active duty military members get a free MVP Platter.
Krispy Kreme is offering all veterans a free doughnut and coffee on Nov. 11.
Little Caesars is offering a free lunch combo on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The combo includes a 4-slice Deep!Deep! Dish Pizza with pepperoni and a 20-ounce drink.
Military eats free from the American Roadhouse Meals Meno on Nov. 11 from 3-6 p.m.
The Original Oyster House restaurants will serve a free lunch or dinner to veterans and active military on Veterans Day from 11 a.m. to close at the Gulf Shores and Mobile Causeway locations.
Military veterans and active duty service members can receive a free Bloomin Onion and drink on Nov. 11. Outback also offers a 10% Heroes Discounts to military veterans and service members every day.

Activities
Highland Park Golf Course is offering a golf clinic for veterans with a PGA instructor and holiday-themed food and drinks. You can sign up by calling 205-322-1902.
The Huntsville Museum of Art is extending its military admission prices of $10 to all veterans on Nov. 11.The museum also will have docent-led tours of Hard Earned: The Military Photographs by Stacy Pearsall and the Veterans Portrait Project at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. There is no extra charge for the docent-led tours.
Military members (active duty, reserves and retirees) can visit the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta free all year. Through Nov. 12, they may also purchase up to four general admission tickets at half price. Tickets must be purchased online using promotional code “vets2020” and members will be asked to present their valid Armed Forces ID when they arrive at the attraction.
Other discounts
Target is offering all U.S. active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families a 10 percent discount off the guest’s full basket, with some exclusions. Eligibility must be determined by registering at www.target.com/circle/military.
