FORTS MYERS, Fla.– Burger King has decided it’s time to “keep it real”.
The fast-food chain has launched a new campaign to keep it real by eliminating 120 artificial ingredients from their food.
The banned ingredients will be permanently removed from BK’s menu items. This move includes colors, flavors, and preservatives from artificial sources.
Additionally, the burger joint has partnered with celebrities to create curated meals with their names on them. For example, the “Cornell Haynes Jr. Meal” (AKA Nelly) is a Whopper with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo and ketchup, small fries, and a small drink. Larissa Machado (Anitta) and Chase Hudson (LILHUDDY) are also claiming new menu items.
The idea behind the move is to have food “real” enough for the celebrities’ real names, according to Burger King’s website.
The new meals will unlock on Sunday, September 12.
