WATCH – Halal, naturally: Cosmetic companies see big potential for natural ingredients in growing halal segment - CosmeticsDesign-Asia.com

Companies are rising to the challenge to create halal-friendly products that cater to the unique needs of Muslim consumers, utilising plant-based natural ingredients to do so.

On this episode of the Beauty Broadcast video series, we sat down with Ferind Binte Mohd Yusoff, application scientist for Clariant consumer care, to discuss halal beauty as a trend that goes beyond religion.

She highlights that the characteristics of halal beauty, such as ethics and safety, will resonate with non-Muslim consumers as well.

Later we speak to Dr. Mike Thair, co-founder and master formulator of IndoChine, a private label company specialising in natural halal beauty products.

Dr Thair stressed the importance of transparency to Muslim consumers and highlighted the potential of natural cosmetics in the halal beauty space.
