Mike Mohan, Best Buy's president and chief operating officer, is exiting the company after more than 17 years.
"As his friend, I was proud that he was ready to leave a company he loves and set out to pursue his desire to do more," said Best Buy CEO Corie Barry.
Best Buy will not seek a replacement. Rather, Mohan's duties will be spread among existing executive team members.
