This gritty, grind-it-out game eventually saw the Kansas City Chiefs prevail against the Washington Football Team. Washington held the Chiefs’ offense in check for the first half, creating takeaways and applying pressure on quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs rebounded in the second half with a more efficient offense and solid defense to close out the comeback victory.
Here’s a quick look at some of the best reactions from the game posted on Twitter:
Tyrann Mathieu isn't happy
The Chiefs started slowly in the first half on offense but remained strong defensively minus the last two minutes of the second quarter. Taylor Heinicke’s late touchdown pass to former Chiefs tight end Ricky Seals-Jones was the frustration tipping point for All-Pro safety Tyrann Mathieu. The Honey Badger was noticeably irate on the sidelines screaming for his team to get their act together.

Patrick Mahomes' interception trying to avoid a sack
The Chiefs first half had its share of issues on offense with costly turnovers and missed opportunities. Once again, Mahomes was a victim of the turnover bug that plagued the team to begin this season as he committed two interceptions. The first interception was off of the hands of Tyreek Hill, but the second miscue was blatantly his fault, and Twitter was well aware of the blunder.
Congratulations to Patrick Mahomes for throwing the worst interception in the history of the NFL pic.twitter.com/LKq3I2g86i

Tershawn Wharton's amazing interception
A strong second-half from the offense and solid, inspired play from the defense had Kansas City in complete control of the game. The final blow to put away Washington came from defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton’s incredible interception of Heinicke. The athletic display from Wharton caught the eye of many scrolling Twitter as the Chiefs defeated Washington.
