Each new month brings with it a cavalcade of new movies to choose from on our favorite streaming services. And that’s especially true for Netflix, which—in addition to adding dozens of classic movies to its library—introduces several of its own in-house produced films each month.
And March is giving us quite the stacked lineup. Throughout the month, more and more movies will be added to the Netflix slate, meaning you’ll have fresh options on a weekly basis.
Here are a few of my personal recommendations to watch for. And then at the end of the article, you’ll find a full list of the movies that will become available on Netflix in March 2021.
Batman Begins & The Dark Knight (2005 & 2008)
There are so many great Batman movies to choose from. But most people agree: nothing tops the Christopher Nolan trilogy. Well, the first two movies of that classic series is now available on Netflix: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
Moxie (2021)
Amy Poehler made her directorial debut with Wine Country back in 2019. And now she’s continuing her Netflix stint with Moxie, a film about a teenager who is inspired by her mother to fight sexism at her high school.
Step Up: Revolution (2012)
Look. It’s not like Step Up: Revolution is going to win any Oscars—I get it. But if you’re looking to have a great time? Then the fourth movie of the Step Up series is a fantastic option. It’s energetic, it’s colorful—and it’s full of so many so-bad-it’s-good moments that it’ll will keep you chuckling throughout.
Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell (2021)
Produced by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, this documentary about the life and times of the undeniable Notorious B.I.G. is a great watch. It features rare footage and in-depth interviews with his friends and other rap icons.
Two Weeks Notice (2002)
Ah! It’s always a joy to see two great romantic comedy leads come together. Even when the script isn’t perfect, a duo like Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant makes for a fun time at the movies.
Training Day (2008)
When a director like Antoine Fuqua teams up with a writer like David Ayer? Then you know you’ve got something special. And then when you throw in Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke as the leads? Obviously, it’s a recipe for a movie as good as Training Day.
