A Taste Of Danville Spotlights Local Chefs And Ingredients - Danville, CA Patch

DANVILLE, CA — Danville foodies, rejoice: The Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association, which runs Danville's farmers market, has compiled a new publication featuring recipes from Danville chefs, using locally sourced ingredients.

The "Taste of Danville" cookbook features information about local chefs and farmers market vendors, and seasonal ingredients.

"Discover how Danville chefs incorporate great regional ingredients into their popular dishes and share their enthusiasm for changing seasonal produce from our Northern California farmers," the city wrote.

Cookbooks can be picked up at the Danville Farmers' Market for a suggested donation of $10. Donations will benefit the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce's Danville Small Business Relief Fund, which will be used for emergency grants to cover lease payments, payroll and marketing for local small businesses.

"The importance of small business to our local community is emotionally rooted in the act of buying and selling with and from our friends and neighbors," the chamber wrote on a webpage for the fund.

Each shopper may pick up one cookbook.

Visit the Danville's farmers market Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Railroad and Prospect Avenues.
