DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police are advising businesses to close and residents to stay home Sunday evening after police say Best Buy at 1432 Butterfield Rd. was looted, according to police. The advisory comes amid unrest and protests in the Chicago area in response to the death of George Floyd.
Downers Grove village officials wrote in a Facebook post, "Like all other communities in the Chicago area there is a risk of looting tonight. The Village strongly recommends that all businesses close immediately. All residents are advised to stay home."
