Optimizing Formulations With Natural Ingredients - HAPPI - happi.com

Humans and plants have a bond that is as old as time. In fact, there is a history of the use of folk medicine on every continent. No one can quite explain the reasoning for this but perhaps it's the common language we share. We know this language as gene expression, not so much a spoken language, rather a language of molecular cell biology. Gene expression techniques that developed during the past twenty years are used to understand the complex biological process that enables a plant to defend itself against aggressive attack from insects, harsh weather and plant eating animals. Similar techniques have been used to study gene expression in humans.
 
On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern), the Carolina and Southeast Chapters of the SCC will live stream “Optimizing Your Formulation with Natural Ingredients"— a webinar hosted by SCC Headquarters and instructed by Howard Epstein, PhD (EMD Performance Materials Corporation). 
 
This one hour session will discuss our relationship with plants in a fundamental way with the aim of explaining how a formulator can use the common language of people and plants to select optimal natural ingredients.
